Full Job Description
Senior Clinical Editor Haymarket Media, Inc. is seeking a Senior Clinical Editor to become part of the MPR team. This dynamic, science minded group of pharmacists and medical editors is responsible for maintaining MPR's drug information database and reporting on the latest drug news. This position is located in our New York, NY office on a hybrid work schedule; three (3) days in office depending on business needs. Job Overview: This role is key to the ongoing success of the MPR brand as a resource that keeps health care providers informed and in touch with trends and current events related to pharmacotherapy. The Senior Clinical Editor will help grow the brand's presence and content offerings. Responsibilities: • Leverage AI platforms to research, create, and test content initiatives, including, but not limited to digital storytelling efforts in video and audio formats • Develop and cultivate key opinion leader, industry leader, and strategic partner relationships to grow the reach of the brand • Ensure that content that appears in drug monographs aligns with clinical trends and audience needs, and produce, assign, edit, and post that content in a proprietary content management system • Leverage AI to assist in updating and fact checking MPR's library of clinical charts • Write and edit breaking daily news, features, and other pharmacotherapy-related content • Curate and review daily email newsletters to ensure accuracy, best practice uses for SEO, UX, and relevance to a health care professional audience • Attend medical conferences to report on new research as needed • Liaise with other departments for editorial purposes as needed Skills and Requirements: • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree and/or clinical experience (RPh, PharmD, MD) preferred, with a keen interest in emerging research and scientific trends • Minimum of one year of web content experience, preferably in the medical or health/wellness space • Ability to research and critically evaluate medical/drug information • Ability to interpret drug information accurately from product labeling • A background in mentorship of junior-level content producers • Familiarity with AMA style preferred • Experience working with WordPress, generative AI tools a plus • Ability to thrive while balancing multiple projects, requests, and deadlines Special Instructions: • Please include a recent writing sample.
