As a Property Damage Claims Adjuster, you'll investigate and resolve intermediate to complex property damage claims while partnering with insureds, claimants, agents, and legal counsel to achieve fair and timely outcomes.
- Follows defined processes, quality standards and procedures are followed.
- Ensure contact with insured, claimant, witnesses, and other parties are secured and obtain details about the loss and properly investigate liability claims while using state statues to arrive at correct decision.
- Reviews claim related correspondences and determine appropriate actions are made.
- Maintains files notes in accordance with established procedures, maintains timely diary management, updates accurate coding and claim closing goals.
- Provides timely and proactive information to clients, claimants, insureds, and others regarding the status of claims.
- Sets initial and on-going reserves for incurred costs and authorizes or denies payments based on facts of the claim.
- Works with defense counsel regarding questionable complex settlements to ensure most probable outcome.
- Ensures subrogation opportunities are consistently identified and executed with correct outline for accurate recovery.
- Review and understand insurance policies in order to determine coverage for a claim.
- Policy review and coverage analysis for proper coverage interpretation
- Draft coverage letters and discuss outcomes with clients and agents proactively before letter is sent.
- Roundtable claims with management and counsel, as needed.
- Efficiently manage vendor related costs while assigning the correct vendor based on service need.
- Maintain current weekly diary with limited overdue items.
- Where appropriate effectively negotiates using negotiation tactics for settlements
- Well versed in multiple jurisdictions (where applicable)
- Communicate effectively with all internal and external business partners using all forms of communication to obtain timely contact.
- Written and verbal communication is professional and timely.
- Communicate effectively by expressing oneself in a clear and concise manner in one-one and group discussions while listening attentively in collaborative discussions.

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range is $83,000 - $104,000 annually. We typically target the midpoint of our range, and pay will be based on relevant experience.

Job Status & Hours
This is a full-time, exempt position.
IPMG's core hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and any flexibility around that schedule must be approved by management. All employee owners must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as essential functions demand.
This is a hybrid in office/at home position with requirements to be in our headquarter office in St. Charles 2-3 days a week.
