Position Purpose:The Senior Business Operations Advisor acts as a strategic advisor and primary liaison to divisional leadership through business planning, performance reporting, workforce planning, governance coordination, and operational analysis. The role enables informed decision-making by providing business insights, resource planning support, financial forecasting, and performance reporting tied to divisional priorities and objectives. Working closely with business leaders and corporate enabling functions, the position helps strengthen organizational effectiveness, operational performance, and the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
There are two positions available, one supporting our Development and Asset Management (DEVAM) division and the other supporting Strategic Enterprise Services (SES) and Commercial and Technical Services (CTS).
What You Will Do: - Provide strategic advice, operational insights, and decision-support analysis to divisional leadership on business priorities, risks, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
- Monitor divisional initiatives, operational priorities, dependencies, and performance metrics to identify risks, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain performance dashboards, reporting frameworks, operational analytics, and business intelligence tools that support data-driven decision-making.
- Lead workforce and resource planning activities, including forecasting, organizational planning, capacity assessments, and coordination with People & Culture and Finance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, quarterly reviews, and financial planning processes by gathering information, analyzing trends, and ensuring the accuracy of business reporting.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business divisions and corporate enabling functions including Finance, People & Culture, Risk, Enterprise Operations, and Information Technology.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration, issue resolution, governance activities, and cross-functional planning efforts that support organizational priorities.
- Lead and support business transformation, process improvement, standardization, and operational excellence initiatives across supported business areas.
- Develop business cases, executive briefings, presentations, governance materials, and operational reports that support leadership decision-making.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness through process redesign, performance measurement, and continuous improvement practices.
Who You Are: - University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Public Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline an asset.
- Several years of experience in business operations, strategic planning, enterprise operations, management consulting, governance, or a related business management function.
- Demonstrated experience developing business cases, executive briefings, operational plans, performance reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations for senior leaders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational, workforce, financial, and performance data and translate findings into actionable business insights.
- Experience leading or supporting cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups, while building strong relationships and driving alignment across teams.
- Experience supporting organizational change, process improvement, workforce planning, operational excellence, or business transformation initiatives.

We offer a competitive hiring range of
$100,700 to $121,900 (
P4 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
