Job Description:Role OverviewThe Senior Business Analyst supports enterprise data management initiatives through data literacy, persona management, communications, reporting, and adoption activities. Working closely with business, technology, and governance stakeholders, the role helps drive understanding and adoption of Data Management practices, Data Compass capabilities, and AI-enabled productivity tools.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Develop and maintain data literacy, training, and awareness materials for Data Management personas.
- Support persona lifecycle management, including onboarding, maintenance, reporting, attestations, and organizational hierarchy updates.
- Create communications, presentations, newsletters, executive updates, and stakeholder engagement materials.
- Maintain and update the Enterprise Data Management Office (EDMO) SharePoint hub, redesign when needed and keep material up to date
- Produce reporting, dashboards, metrics, and insights to support governance forums and leadership decision-making.
- Leverage Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 tools to improve reporting, automation, and stakeholder experience.
- Gather business requirements, document processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and support change adoption activities.
- Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to support enterprise data initiatives.
CUSTOMER- Analyze and understand business and data requirements to develop complete business solutions, including data models (entity relationship diagrams, dimensional data models) and business rules, data life-cycle management, governance, lineage, metadata and reporting elements.
- Apply automation and innovation on data platforms and on-going on any new development projects / initiatives aligned to business or organizational strategies
- Design and implement complex business data information management frameworks to provide a solution that meets business requirements
- Collaborate with technology and business partners to resolve issues and ensure requirements and established SLAs
- Work closely with various technology/project teams to understand business data and provide analysis and requirements to ensure the data design / development initiatives are in line with the planned design and standards
SHAREHOLDER- Work with other various partners/ stakeholders to ensure project success
- Develop business requirements by researching / analyzing and documenting business data requirements
- Provide expert guidance within projects and other various change initiatives to support data impact assessments and data risk mitigation
- Implement processes aligned to data information management standards and ensure data quality (e.g., rules / thresholds / assessments, etc.) and requirements are developed
- Develop and maintain knowledge of data available from upstream sources and data within various platforms
- Identify critical data / critical data elements to support Business Segment data governance and/or data management frameworks / programs
- May be responsible to understand and utilize business information management data deliverables
- Ensure business data and information is retained and disposed in compliance with enterprise data standards, policies and guidelines
- Perform data profiling using TD tooling and ad hoc system query languages to validate data analysis
- Provide support throughout data lifecycle to resolve data issues and support user community by helping users interpret the data
- Lead the investigation of root causes for data issues and ensure data issues are resolved
- Identify and/or define knowledge transfer and data expertise activities to support business teams using the information management solutions.
- Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to data activities for business area
- Ensure business operations follow applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)
- Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations
- Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practices
- Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts
- Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite

BREADTH & DEPTH- Expert level professional role, considered subject matter expert with in-depth knowledge / expertise in own domain / field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas
- Requires expert level conceptual and practical knowledge for own area of specialty and knowledge of broader related areas
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills and fluent in one or two programming language
- Works autonomously on a range of tasks and may be relied upon to coach / educate others
- Lead projects of moderately to complex risk and resource requirements; may lead end-to-end processes or functional programs
- In-depth experience working with very large datasets and familiarity with big data technologies
- Keep abreast of rapid business and technology innovation within business information management field
- Familiar with visualization tools
- Generally reports to a Senior / Manager role
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION- Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate and/or
- 5+ years of relevant experience from a business administration, statistical, mathematical, scientific or financial background
- Experience in business analysis, data governance, change management, communications, reporting, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, SharePoint, Power Platform, Excel, and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience developing executive-ready reporting, dashboards, and training materials.
- Knowledge of Data Management, Data Governance, or metadata management practices is an asset.
