Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Functional Lead (P4) to play a critical role in driving functional excellence and delivery success for the VantusHQ commerce platform within the pharmaceutical domain. This role operates at the intersection of business, product, and technology, ensuring that solutions are aligned with customer needs, business objectives, and regulatory requirements.

As a Functional Lead within an Agile squad, this individual will go beyond traditional business analysis by providing functional leadership, mentoring junior analysts, and owning end-to-end requirement quality and delivery outcomes. The role requires active participation across the delivery lifecycle, including backlog refinement, sprint execution, bug analysis, UAT support, and production issue resolution.

The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between stakeholders, translating complex technical challenges into business-friendly insights while representing the voice of the customer. They will ensure that commerce workflows—such as order lifecycle, integrations, and customer journeys—are designed and delivered with a strong focus on user experience, compliance, and operational efficiency.

This position demands a balance of analytical expertise, leadership capability, and hands-on engagement, making it a pivotal role in enabling high-quality, scalable, and compliant solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment.

  • Translate technical challenges, constraints, and dependencies into business-impact language for Product Owners
  • Play an active role in bug triage, root cause analysis, and production support, ensuring accurate functional validation.
  • Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities including planning, execution coordination, and validation
  • Collaborate closely with QA teams to ensure test coverage, traceability, and quality assurance
  • Support regulated pharma workflows, ensuring awareness of compliance, auditability, and data accuracy requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in functional processes, documentation standards, and delivery practices
  • Ensure the squad meets delivery milestones with strong ownership and accountability
  • Identifies and applies AI and automation opportunities to enhance business processes and drive efficient delivery.

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of experience in Business Analysis and functional leadership, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
  • Experience in commerce platforms (eCommerce, order management, customer experience)
  • Proven experience mentoring or leading junior BAs
  • Strong expertise in requirements gathering, functional design, and process modeling
  • Hands-on experience with UAT, defect management, and production support
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Understanding of system integrations, APIs, and end-to-end application flows
  • Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business terms
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to balance customer experience, business goals, and compliance need
