JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale Azure cloud data and analytics platforms. This role is primarily focused on Azure Cloud Engineering, with deep hands-on expertise in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, cloud infrastructure automation, and platform operations. The ideal candidate will have experience building secure, scalable, and high-performing Azure environments while supporting Power BI platforms, CI/CD processes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices. Azure Data Engineering knowledge is considered a secondary but valuable skillset.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Azure cloud infrastructure and data platform services.
• Implement and support Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory solutions for enterprise analytics platforms.
• Develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Administer, support, and optimize Power BI platform environments.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to enable efficient data integration, processing, and analytics solutions.
• Monitor cloud platform performance, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot platform, infrastructure, and deployment-related issues and provide operational support.
• Implement cloud governance, security, and operational best practices.
• Support environment provisioning, configuration management, and automation initiatives.
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide recommendations for cloud platform improvements.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across Azure services.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, DevOps, architecture, and business stakeholders.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Engineering.
• Extensive experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Functions and Azure API Management.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking concepts, including Virtual Networks (VNets), Private Endpoints, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementation and management.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions for source control and CI/CD automation.
• Experience administering and supporting Power BI environments, deployments, and platform operations.
• Knowledge of data engineering fundamentals, including data pipelines, data lakes, data ingestion patterns, and data processing workflows.
• Experience implementing cloud automation, monitoring, and operational support processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in collaborative and fast-paced enterprise environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate), AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert), or DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer Associate).
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and cloud observability tools.
• Knowledge of Azure cost optimization and cloud governance practices.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and related deployment tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics, reporting, and business intelligence platforms.
• Understanding of data engineering, cloud-native architecture, and modern data platform design patterns.
CERTIFICATIONS
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) preferred.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) preferred.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) preferred.
• Additional Microsoft Azure or cloud platform certifications are a plus.
