Full Job Description
Overview: The Research Department at Alnylam is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Associate Scientist to join our innovative targeted delivery team. The successful candidate will provide critical hands-on support for ligand discovery projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, contribute to the development of novel therapeutics, and grow within a dynamic and collaborative research environment.

This is an onsite lab-based position and will be primarily located in Cambridge, MA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support ligand discovery campaigns by executing key experiments for ligand discovery, screening, and characterization under the guidance of project leads.
  • Perform high-throughput screening and selection using cell-based assay.
  • Execute Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) workflows, including library preparation from single cells.
  • Perform standard molecular biology techniques, including PCR, plasmid preparation, and cloning.
  • Run and assist in the development of automated, high-throughput screening assays to characterize ligand properties such as affinity, specificity, and internalization.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all experimental work and data in electronic lab notebooks.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the cross-functional team to ensure project goals are met.
  • Assist in data analysis, interpretation, and the preparation of presentations for internal meetings.

Qualifications

U.S. Pay Range

$80,000.00 - $120,000.00

The pay range reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
