Pursuing or recently completed Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Materials Science Engineering, or related field
Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles
Experience with CAD software for design documentation
Knowledge of structural analysis and testing methodologies
Familiarity with production processes and engineering change orders (ECO's)
Responsibilities
Provide mechanical engineering support for new product development and factory support
Translate product requirements into mechanical specifications and test plans
Execute verification testing based on mechanical specifications
Conduct structural and thermal design analysis to meet customer requirements
Generate test procedures and execute tests based on customer needs
Process engineering change orders (ECO's) as necessary
Work with mechanical designers on CAD models and part documentation

Provide mechanical engineering support for both new product development activities as well as factory support of existing products

Structural Engineering
Structural analysis of aircraft modifications, including design support, and preparation of technical documentation necessary to ensure airworthiness
Determination of stress levels in primary and secondary aircraft structure, systems, and equipment resulting from applied and induced loads, as well as the comparison of these stresses with material properties to predict failure and structural instabilities given due consideration to applicable failure theories
Sustainment Engineering
Involved in the installation coordination for design, modification, maintenance, and repair of aircraft structures, mechanical systems, and mission equipment installations
Applies basic engineering design and/or analytical theory with understanding of structural analysis for application to integrated system design
Support transition from engineering design to manufacturing, assembly and aircraft installation of designed products
Application of principles supporting aircraft life cycle maintenance (repair, rework and designing replacement parts)

Qualifications:
