The Senior Associate. Client Solutions is a key member of Hamilton Lane's Canada Client Solutions team, supporting the firm's fundraising, business development, and ongoing client service activities. In this role, you will work closely with the Canadian Solutions team members to help manage relationships with institutional and private wealth investors, contribute to new product and solution development, and ensure a consistently high standard of client servicing.

Responsibilities- Support fundraising and business development
- Assist in the execution of fundraising campaigns and new product or solution development.
- Help maintain market maps, prospect lists, and sales pipelines, ensuring information is current and accurate in firm systems (e.g., CRM).
- Act as a point of contact for prospects and clients, including coordinating and supporting follow-up actions.
- Client servicing and relationship management
- Respond to investor and client inquiries, data requests, and ad-hoc due diligence questions in a timely, professional manner.
- Support the delivery of client reporting and servicing to meet agreed requirements and service standards.
- Work collaboratively with internal partners across the firm to ensure a consistent, high-quality client experience.
- Materials, presentations, and analysis
- Prepare and refine client-facing materials, including presentations, portfolio reviews, and other deliverables.
- Perform quantitative and qualitative portfolio and product analysis to support client conversations and fundraising efforts.
- Coordinate the completion of RFIs, RFPs, and due diligence questionnaires in partnership with relevant internal teams.
- Meeting and event preparation
- Organize and coordinate meetings with existing and prospective investors, including logistics, briefing materials, and background research.
- Attend internal and external meetings as needed, capturing action items and supporting timely execution.
- Assist with investor-focused marketing efforts such as conferences, seminars, and other sales initiatives.
- Research and knowledge development
- Conduct research on markets, client segments, and business development themes to inform strategy and outreach.
- Build and maintain a strong working knowledge of Hamilton Lane's private markets solutions, structures, and strategies.
- Learn and effectively use firm technology and tools to aggregate, analyze, and present information for client deliverables.
Required qualifications- Experience & education
- Approximately 4+ years of experience in financial services or a related finance role, with exposure to clients or external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical & analytical skills
- Solid understanding of investments and capital markets concepts.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including comfort with data analysis, numerical work, and problem solving.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort learning new technology tools.
- Communication & relationship skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, compelling client materials.
- Confident presentation and interpersonal skills; able to interact professionally with clients, prospects, and colleagues at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and work effectively as part of a team.

Nice-to-have qualifications- Prior experience in investment management, private markets, or capital markets roles.
- Experience supporting fundraising, investor relations, or institutional client coverage.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and/or other sales and marketing tools.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., financial modeling, portfolio analytics) or experience with other analytical tools.
- Additional language skills relevant to key client markets.
