  • Develop and execute comprehensive short- and long-term revenue generation strategies that advance divisional priorities and maximize financial performance.
  • Establish annual revenue goals and performance metrics while providing regular forecasting, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations to the Vice President for Athletics and Recreation.
  • Partner with University Advancement to develop and implement a comprehensive athletics fundraising strategy and serve as a frontline fundraiser for Athletics, managing an assigned portfolio of major gift prospects and personally cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors in coordination with University Advancement.
  • Maintain close and regular coordination with the Major Gift Officer(s) in University Advancement supporting Athletics to coordinate prospect strategy, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities; ensure appropriate information sharing and donor documentation; and avoid duplicative or conflicting outreach.
  • Partner with the Vice President for Athletics and Recreation, coaches, University Advancement, and other appropriate University leaders to develop and execute strategies for key donor and prospect relationships and fundraising opportunities.
  • Identify, develop, and implement new revenue-generating opportunities and business ventures that enhance the long-term financial sustainability of Athletics.
  • Serve as the primary athletics liaison to external corporate partnership and multimedia rights partners, as applicable, and oversee strategies and performance to maximize corporate partnership, sponsorship, multimedia rights, and licensing revenue.
  • Provide strategic oversight of ticket sales and operations and concessions, including initiatives related to season tickets, group sales, premium seating, pricing strategy, customer retention, concessions operations and revenue, and overall revenue optimization.
  • Lead marketing and fan engagement initiatives designed to increase attendance, strengthen brand awareness, enhance the fan experience, and drive revenue growth, including oversight of game presentation, in-game promotions, and other strategies designed to increase student, alumni, and community attendance and engagement at Athletics events.
  • Collaborate closely with University Marketing and Communications to ensure Athletics marketing, communications, creative materials, digital content, and promotional activities align with University brand standards, guidelines, messaging, and requirements, with any proposed exceptions or variations coordinated with University Marketing and Communications.
  • Utilize data analytics, market research, and industry best practices to inform decision-making and maximize return on investment across all revenue-generating functions.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, alumni, corporate partners, community stakeholders, and university constituents.
  • Provide strategic leadership for Athletics advisory boards, alumni groups, and other constituent engagement structures, including evaluating, refreshing, and reimagining these groups as appropriate to strengthen engagement, philanthropy, attendance, advocacy, and support for Athletics.
  • Collaborate across Athletics and with University partners on divisional priorities and cross-functional initiatives, helping ensure revenue generation, external engagement, and Athletics communications are aligned with broader University priorities.
  • Serve as sport administrator for assigned varsity programs as designated by the Vice President for Athletics and Recreation, including supervising and evaluating assigned coaches and providing consistent administrative oversight of program budgets, scheduling, travel, student-athlete experience and well-being, and compliance with University, conference, and NCAA requirements.
