The OpportunityAs a
Senior Manager, Client Strategy, you'll own high-stakes commercial investments from white-glove pre-sales pitches through portfolio expansion. To do this, you will translate digital trends, contact center pressures, user insights, and AI-driven opportunities into strategies that both Fortune 500 and mid-market clients can act upon. You'll operate autonomously, bringing clarity and conviction to ambiguous problems most often centered on how enterprises modernize and transform their end-to-end customer experience and contact center operations. This role sits within our Commercial organization, working cross-functionally with Business Development, Solutions Architecture, Commercial Operations, Strategy, Design, Engineering, and AI & Data Solutions to shape and win transformative deals.
Responsibilities- Own the commercial narrative: Partner with Sales and Industry Leaders to build the end-to-end, strategically differentiated narrative for major client proposals and commercial investments from lean research and initial ideation through on-site C-level presentation.
- Shape the pipeline early: Catalyze portfolio expansion and new logo opportunities as early as possible in the sales cycle. Build audience-tailored messaging that lands with digital transformation leaders, contact center operations leaders, and executive sponsors across industries.
- Facilitate strategic workshops: Design and run thoughtfully curated sessions that bring clarity to stakeholders and synthesize post-workshop outputs into clear, actionable recommendations and digital directions rooted in the client's business.
- Map business and user pain to best-in-class solutions: Conduct lean pre-sales user and market research, mapping high-priority business needs and unmet user needs to digital concepts and TELUS Digital service offerings across industries.
Qualifications- 7+ years of experience in digital product strategy, management consulting, or a high-growth technology company, with a track record of leading client-facing commercial engagements
- Proven CX expertise within the contact center. You know what good looks like for agents, customers, and operations leaders
- Proven ability to scope, refine, and pitch commercial opportunities, working cross-functionally from pre-sale discovery through post-sale expansion
- Expert communicator and storyteller: you command the room with C-level audiences and craft compelling narratives in Google Slides or equivalent
- Deep command of digital strategy, including user-centered research methods, journey mapping, product roadmap development, and design thinking frameworks with enough technical grounding to keep recommendations real
- Hands-on experience with enterprise AI tools day-to-day, paired with active curiosity to explore emerging technologies as they hit the market
- Experience designing and facilitating strategic stakeholder workshops, capturing complex input, and turning it into clear direction
Bonus Points- Experience in a sales role will help you get energized by the pursuit and understand what it takes to convert a difficult prospect
- MBA or advanced degree in digital strategy, UX, data & AI, or related disciplines
- Background in ROI modeling, business case development, or "what would need to be true?" analytical frameworks
