Full Job Description
About the Role

Sprig is on a path to build a world-class product experience platform that empowers the best businesses to truly understand how their users experience their product at scale. The goal of the Core team at Sprig is to build and deploy high-performing, minimal-footprint SDKs to 1 Billion+ visitors per month and to develop the dashboard experience for managing these studies. The mobile team within core focuses on our in-product survey studies and session replay, helping researchers get feedback.

Our mobile engineers are responsible for the end-to-end development and release across multiple mobile platforms, including native iOS and Android SDKs, React Native, and Flutter. Our team also manages the build and release of all of these platforms, coordinating with our WebSDK release. Our SDKs are installed on millions of devices for consumer applications, across both mobile and embedded platforms.

This role is based in San Francisco, with three days working in the office.

Your Impact
  • You'll be working as part of our highly experienced engineering team and jump in at the beginning to develop a world-class product
  • Lead and own end-to-end development, maintenance, and deployment of our Android SDK alongside Flutter and React Native SDKs shipped to millions of users worldwide
  • You will get to work with customers, helping them build great experiences with top digital-native consumer companies across all the products you know and love.
  • Contribute to product roadmap discussions as we grow and evolve the product
  • Stay informed with industry best practices and provide guidance, inspiration, and mentorship in engineering excellence for cross-functional colleagues

Your Strengths
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience developing on Android platforms (Bonus: experience with React Native & Flutter)
  • Thinks first about the foreign Application / Activity contexts, process death, and OEM quirks
  • Proactively cares about startup, memory, ANRs, and main-thread discipline; uses crash analytics and logging as SDK feedback, not only for firefighting.
  • Comfortable owning versioning, changelogs, deprecations, and "what breaks if we change this?", treats every public interface as a contract with developers
  • Translates between product, design, and web teams with concrete examples (repro steps, header values, min SDK implications).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and explain the technical work that has been done

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

We prioritize diversity within our team and value different perspectives, educational backgrounds, and life experiences. We encourage people from underrepresented backgrounds to apply.
