RESPONSIBILITIES:- Lead the architecture, development, and optimization of Android systems that integrate with WHOOP hardware and firmware.

>- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities for system performance improvements and process optimization.

QUALIFICATIONS:- Proficiency in Kotlin and Android development, with strong experience designing APIs and SDKs.
>- Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, including data pipelines, stream processing, and database optimization.
>- Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) or other wireless communication protocols preferred.
>- Experience working with or integrating hardware development tools and workflows.
>- Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide architectural decisions, set best practices, and mentor team members.
>- Ability to align technical initiatives with organizational goals, balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability and innovation.
>- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
>- Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks, ensuring AI-assisted work aligns with the same high-quality standards as personal contributions.

REQUIREMENT:- The ability to obtain and maintain a US government issued security clearance is required, and only US Citizens are eligible for such security clearances.
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$215,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate's specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role's requirements.
