As a Senior Analyst, Visual Analytics, you will design and build the dashboards and interactive reports that shape how R1's teams see and act on their data. You'll join our Central Customer Content & Analytics group - a team helping the business move toward modern, embedded visual analytics. Leadership is fully behind this shift, so you'll have real room to raise the bar on dashboard design and data storytelling. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for someone who loves turning complex data into something clear, engaging, and genuinely useful.
What you'll do- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and interactive reports primarily in Tableau
- Translate business questions from internal partners into clean, intuitive visual analytics
- Model and structure data entities in the most effective way for visualization
- Write SQL as needed to shape and validate data
- Partner with stakeholders across our Enterprise Customer Engagement organization
- Test, validate, and troubleshoot to keep reporting accurate and reliable
- Recommend improvements and new approaches to how we visualize and share insights
- Help advance the team's move from traditional reporting to embedded visual analytics
What we're looking for- Advanced Tableau skills, with a strong portfolio of dashboards you've built end-to-end
- Solid data modeling instincts - you know how to structure data for effective visualization
- Comfort writing SQL to prepare and validate data
- A self-directed working style; you can own projects and move them forward with light guidance
- Curiosity and drive to learn new tools and deepen your craft
- Strong communication with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Official Tableau certifications are a plus
- Preferred: Power BI experience; either Snowflake or Databricks; healthcare or revenue cycle background (not required - we'll help you learn it); familiarity with GenAI tools (e.g., Claude); a Tableau Public profile
Your first 30 and 90 days- By 30 days: You'll get to know the team and internal stakeholders, build a working understanding of our business and processes, and contribute on maintenance-oriented projects.
- By 90 days: You'll take ownership of a new project and run it largely on your own. Success means delivering quality dashboards independently and starting to influence how we approach visual analytics.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $50,461.00 - $114,114.48 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 10.00%
