The Sr. Analyst, Corporate Real Estate (CRE Finance) is responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, oversight, and analytics for the company's global real estate portfolio. This role partners closely with Corporate Real Estate, Facilities, Workplace, and cross-functional leaders to drive disciplined investment decisions, optimize portfolio costs, and ensure alignment with business growth, security requirements, and workforce strategy.
The ideal candidate combines deep FP&A expertise with a strong understanding of commercial real estate economics in a global, security-focused technology environment.
HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:Financial Strategy & Planning- Serve as the primary finance partner to the Corporate Real Estate and Workplace teams.
- Lead annual planning, long-range planning, and rolling forecasts and cashflow for global real estate OPEX and CAPEX.
- Develop financial models to evaluate site selection, lease vs. buy decisions, expansions, consolidations, and buyouts/exits.
- Translate business growth and workforce assumptions into real estate financial impacts.
Portfolio Financial Management - Own financial oversight of the global real estate portfolio, including offices, R&D facilities, workplace operations, safety & security, and other operational sites.
- Track and analyze occupancy costs, cost per employee, utilization metrics, and ROI by location.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while balancing employee experience, security, and operational needs.
Transaction & Investment Support - Provide financial diligence and deal support for leases, renewals, subleases, and major capital investments.
- Partner with Legal and CRE to evaluate lease terms, incentives, tenant improvement allowances, and total cost of occupancy.
- Support M&A, integration, and divestiture activities related to real estate.
Reporting & Executive Insights - Develop clear, executive-ready reporting and dashboards for senior leadership.
- Present key drivers, risks, and tradeoffs related to real estate financial decisions.
- Monitor and explain variances against plan and forecast.
Governance, Controls & Compliance - Ensure adherence to corporate financial policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
- Partner with Accounting on lease accounting, accruals, and balance sheet impacts.
- Support audits and ensure strong documentation and governance for real estate spend.
WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:- 5-10+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, or Corporate Development, with direct responsibility for real estate or large fixed-cost portfolios.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including long-range planning and scenario analysis.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets in a global environment.
- Proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support decision making.
WE ARE EXTRA EXCITED IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:- Experience in technology, cybersecurity, SaaS, or data-centric companies.
- Working knowledge of commercial real estate economics and lease structures.
- Familiarity with lease accounting standards (ASC 842 / IFRS 16).
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent advanced credentials.
- Experience supporting hybrid or distributed workforce strategies.

Disclosure Pursuant to Applicable State Equal Pay Transparency Laws - This position has a starting pay range as listed below. Actual salary depends upon many factors, including a candidate's skills, qualifications and experience, location, and salary expectations, and therefore a starting salary at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range may be offered. This position may also be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if in a sales function), and/or equity grants. Additionally, full-time employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits framework, including health and wellness benefits, vacation, paid holidays and refresh days, 401(k) retirement plan, life and disability insurance coverages, and other benefits the Company may offer from time to time.
Pay Range :
$153,000.00-$170,000.00
The compensation noted above is based on an annualized hourly rate assuming normal full-time employment.
In-Office Expectations
Cohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.
