OverviewThe
Senior Analyst, Client Analytics develops insights that help pharmaceutical manufacturer clients understand
program performance, prescription trends, and the patient journey. This role partners closely with
Client/Account Management, Operations, Data Engineering and other teams to turn complex data into actionable insights that strengthen client relationships and drive program performance.
The ideal candidate combines
expert-level SQL and data modeling skills with strong business acumen, client storytelling capabilities, and an AI-forward approach to analytics.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient & Patient Journey Analytics- Partner with Client/Account Management to provide analytics supporting pharmaceutical manufacturer relationships, business reviews, and program optimization.
- Develop and maintain client KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards focused on prescription, patient journey, and program performance.
- Analyze script volume, conversion, fulfillment, abandonment, persistence, and other patient journey metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and performance drivers.
- Conduct funnel, cohort, trend, and deep-dive analyses to understand where patients progress, experience friction, or fall out of the journey.
- Evaluate performance across dimensions such as product, program, channel, provider, payer, and geography.
- Establish measurement frameworks and KPIs for new client programs and initiatives.
Insights & Client Storytelling- Translate complex analyses into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for Account Management and client stakeholders.
- Support client business reviews and strategic discussions with compelling analytics and data-driven narratives.
- Proactively identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities that strengthen client conversations and program performance.
- Clearly communicate what happened, why it happened, and what actions should be considered
Data & Analytics- Use SQL and data modeling to query, transform, and analyze large and complex patient and prescription datasets.
- Design and maintain dashboards and analytical tools using Tableau and other BI platforms.
- Partner with Data Engineering to develop scalable patient, prescription, and client data models and ensure data quality.
- Identify opportunities to automate and scale recurring client reporting and analytics.
- Maintain clear KPI definitions, business rules, and analytical methodologies.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial, client, or business analytics.
- Experience with pharmaceutical, pharmacy, patient services, hub services, or life sciences data strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing prescription, patient journey, or program performance and translating findings into business insights.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
- Strong experience with Tableau or similar BI platforms.
- Experience with patient-level, prescription, pharmacy, claims, or patient services data preferred.
- Experience supporting client-facing or Account Management teams preferred.
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled analytics and development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude, MCP-based tools) to accelerate SQL development, data exploration, analysis, documentation, and workflow automation strongly preferred.
- Python or R experience is a plus.
