Opportunity OverviewThe Investment Management Department is a core part of Edward Jones' Wealth Management and Field Management Division, advancing the firm's mission of deeply serving clients by equipping financial advisors with high-quality investment guidance, portfolio solutions, and risk-aware planning frameworks. Within this organization, the Asset Allocation Team plays a central role in shaping the firm's investment strategy through the development of capital market assumptions, strategic asset allocation policy, tactical asset allocation decisions, and multi-asset portfolio positioning frameworks.
This is a high-impact opportunity to join a collaborative and forward-looking team at the forefront of the firm's investment strategy. In this role, you will directly influence the strategic and tactical positioning of the firm's suite of model portfolios while helping shape asset allocation frameworks across multiple investment programs and business segments. You will help develop the analytical frameworks, quantitative foundations, and investment disciplines that underpin the portfolio management framework across the organization. Through robust modeling, disciplined investment analysis, factor-based frameworks, and evidence-based decision-making, you will help evolve the firm's asset allocation capabilities and evaluate, prioritize, and recommend new asset classes, investment strategies, and sources of return that align with Edward Jones' long-term business strategy and investment philosophy. Success in this role will be measured by the quality of the investment frameworks, capital market assumptions, and asset allocation decisions that support portfolio outcomes across the firm's investment programs.
Position Requirements- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or CFA designation (or progress toward completion) required.
- 10+ years of experience in asset allocation, multi-asset investing, investment strategy, or quantitative investing, ideally in a portfolio management capacity.
- Deep understanding of capital markets, asset allocation methodologies, factor investing, portfolio theory, and the macroeconomic drivers of asset class returns.
- Demonstrated experience developing or enhancing an investment philosophy and process, capital market assumptions, asset allocation models, and investment decision frameworks.
- Extensive quantitative modeling experience, including statistical analysis, forecasting techniques, scenario analysis, probability-weighted decision frameworks, asset allocation model development, and portfolio optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with the responsible use of AI and advanced analytics tools to enhance investment research, improve efficiency, and strengthen investment decision-making preferred.
- Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required, or the ability to obtain within six months of hire.
