ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly driven and strategic Senior Accounting Manager to lead and oversee end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance processes, while supporting the development of junior team members and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills, extensive experience in accounting for professional services or technology companies, and the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.

  • Maintain, update, and reconcile the general ledger monthly, ensuring accurate data entry, minimizing discrepancies, and preparing and reviewing general accounting entries.
  • Execute timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes, including performing reconciliations between accounting and auxiliary modules/schedules, customer and supplier accounts, and intercompany balances (detecting and following up on discrepancies)
  • Oversee and ensure efficient and accurate accounts payable and receivable processes, including the preparation and analysis of aging reports.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and monthly financial forecasts, monitor actual performance against budget, analyze variances, and provide insights.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local tax regulations by preparing and filing all required tax returns and other regulatory documents accurately and timely.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation, explanations, and preparing schedules to support the audit process.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct financial analysis, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and financial modeling, to support informed decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on tasks and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor cash flow, ensuring the organization has sufficient liquidity to meet its obligations, including updating and checking daily bank movements and reconciliations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses for management as needed.
  • Utilize Excel and accounting software effectively, ensuring data integrity and proper usability, and stay updated on software enhancements to recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments (like sales and operations) to provide financial insights and support organizational objectives
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving measures within the accounting function.
  • Support the payroll process
  • Collaborate and coordinate with external tax advisors.

Required Qualifications & Experience:
  • +5 years of experience in financial teams as an Accountant, Financial Analyst, or a related role with a strong focus on accounting.
  • Proven experience in professional services companies.
  • Experience in IT consulting or technology companies is a significant plus.
  • Highly autonomous and proactive with prior experience and knowledge of the role's responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail to minimize errors.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Interest in technology and AI solutions is a plus.
  • Experience with accounting software such as Business Central, QuickBooks, and others.
  • Accounting-focused role.

In compliance with local labor regulations, we are pleased to provide transparency by sharing the salary range for this role, which is $120,000-$130,000 USD per year, plus a variable bonus of up to $10,000 depending on experience and performance.
