Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our Central Accounting team. As a key member of the Central Accounting Office, this role will collaborate closely with finance team members and be responsible for preparing monthly financial statements for multiple operating entities and departments within the Marcus Hotels & Resorts portfolio. This role will play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the organization's financial objectives.

What you will be doing:
  • Provide accounting, financial and analytical support to multiple hotel operations, while also supporting administrative departments at the corporate office.
  • Reconcile balance-sheet accounts for various corporate entities and identify/resolve variances in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with executives, hotel controllers, and accounting staff to ensure departmental expenses are being monitored and recorded appropriately.
  • Perform variance analysis to forecasted and budgeted results.
  • Assist the Division Controller in preparation and presentation of the annual budget.
  • Prepare and monitor AR billings to third-party management properties included within the division's portfolio.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects at the direction of the Director of Accounting.
