Full Job Description
Salary Range: $90,233-120,311
Relocation: No
Work Environment: This is a Hybrid position with at least 3 days in office required (Monday-Wednesday).
*There may be additional in office days required throughout onboarding and training.


Summary

As a Senior Accountant at Oncor, you're responsible for performing various general accounting activities including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, intercompany settlements, payroll reconciliations and bank account reconciliations. This role will provide support preparing, processing, reviewing and analyzing various general ledger activities and reporting financial and statistical transactions for Oncor Electric Delivery and Oncor Electric Delivery Holdings Company, LLC.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Directly or through others, the incumbent:
  • Performs monthly closing responsibilities including journal entry preparation and approval, account reconciliations and analysis.
  • Prepares and analyzes financial and operational information for SEC reporting (RFI's) and audit inquiries.
  • Prepares and analyzes information used for inclusion in compliance filings with the Public Utility Commission of Texas, FERC, and other regulatory authorities.
  • Prepares invoicing/billing changes to specific customer groups.
  • Prepare cost accounting analysis of various Oncor Electric Delivery Business Units.
  • Prepares various reports for management as requested.

Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is preferred.
    • Master's Degree in Accounting encouraged to apply.
    • Certified Public Accountant encouraged to apply.

Minimum Experience
  • 3 years of accounting experience required; Public accounting experience is preferred.

Minimum Skills
  • Knowledge of regulated industry practices and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Exposure to regulatory accounting environment such as knowledge of rate case filing package requirements, schedule and RFI preparation and rate case proceedings
  • Proficiency in desktop business productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite 2010)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work across organizational lines and with other non-financial disciplines
