Close Date : 10/20/2026 at 3:00 pm CTSummaryThe Fleet Maintenance Senior Advisor serves as the primary subject matter expert responsible for maintenance programs, vendor performance, warranty administration, regulatory compliance, and vehicle lifecycle activities. This position partners with Oncor Operations, automotive service companies and vendors, OEMs, and external service providers to optimize asset availability, control maintenance costs, support replacement strategies, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of Oncor's fleet.
Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesDirectly or through others, the incumbent:- Coordinate, engage, and oversee fleet maintenance and repair activities through vendors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and internal stakeholders, including repair status tracking, service progress monitoring, and communication of vehicle availability.
- Serve as the fleet maintenance subject matter expert and primary liaison between operations, service centers, vendors, and fleet leadership regarding maintenance programs, repair processes, and fleet policy.
- Analyze fleet maintenance, utilization, downtime, and cost data to identify trends, recommend corrective actions, improve vehicle uptime, and reduce operating costs.
- Visit service centers to meet with drivers and supervisors to provide guidance on vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Visit repair facilities to establish and maintain effective vendor relationships and service partnerships.
- Monitor vendor performance, repair quality, cycle time, and cost effectiveness to ensure service expectations are achieved.
- Identify, validate, and pursue warranty recovery opportunities to minimize fleet maintenance costs.
- Support fleet replacement and lifecycle management strategies through maintenance history review and operational recommendations.
- Develop and maintain fleet maintenance reporting for leadership review.
- Ensure fleet maintenance activities and vehicle assets comply with applicable regulatory, safety, and company requirements.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance fleet reliability and administrative efficiency.
Skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Education and Experience- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- Applicants with an Associate degree are encouraged to apply.
- 5+ years of experience in fleet maintenance, automotive service management, fleet operations, or a related transportation maintenance role is required.
- Applicants with knowledge of fleet operations, maintenance practices, and vehicle utilization principles within a utility or transportation environment are encouraged to apply.
- Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing commercial fleet operations and public roadway compliance.
- Applicants with experience reviewing, validating, and reconciling maintenance invoices and vendor billing in accordance with company accounting practices are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency with fleet asset management and accounting systems (e.g., MAXIMO and FIM), as well as Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word, is required.
- Applicants with the ability to analyze maintenance, utilization, and cost data to support operational decision-making are encouraged to apply.

- Effective partnership and responsiveness demonstrated through positive feedback from Operations and Service Center leadership.
