Job Description

The Senior Accountant II, will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting. We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented accounting professional with broad accounting expertise, strong systems and process knowledge, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving global environment. This role requires a collaborative team player who is eager to contribute across multiple accounting functions while continuously improving processes and supporting organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly financial reporting and close activities.
  • Prepare and post daily, weekly, and monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
  • Review and analyze profit and loss accounts, identifying transactions requiring reclassification to the balance sheet.
  • Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with IFRS and company accounting policies.
  • Support the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Perform financial analysis, develop reporting schedules, and validate data accuracy through advanced spreadsheet modeling.
  • Conduct actual-to-budget and variance analyses, providing meaningful insights to management.
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Process accounts payable transactions related to intercompany activity.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and cross-functional accounting assignments.
  • Cross company collaboration with various business partners to support organizational objectives.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Senior Accounting Manager or Senior Director of Finance.

Compensation Range: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually.

The posted salary range reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position. Actual compensation will not be less than the posted minimum and will be based on multiple factors.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience with Percentage of Completion (PoC) and project accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience working with international exchange rates and secured funds transactions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to work across multiple accounting functions and support team members as business needs evolve.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with global teams.
  • Positive, professional, and proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of both GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Experience with SAP Business One (SAP B1), Power BI
  • Sales and Use Tax compliance experience.
  • Proven ability to support accelerated or streamlined month-end close processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 and other financial reporting and productivity tools including Microsoft Queries.
  • Experience within warehousing, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or bulk material handling industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, and drive greater efficiency within the role.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
