Responsibilities

  • Assist the CFO with accounting department operations including investment management and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly statutory financial reporting.
  • Document internal processes and develop improvements for financial data analysis.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members and external partners.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and be a responsible, hard-working team player.
  • Work efficiently under pressure and take responsibility for actions.
  • Complete assignments with a focus on commitment and follow-through.

Full Job Description
Los Angeles, CA | On-Site | Accounting/Finance

Pay Range: $75,000- $100,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

What you'll do as a Senior Accountant:

  • Assist CFO with daily operations of the accounting department including investment management, account reconciliations and analyses, journal entries and reviewing accounting classifications, in accordance with US GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly statutory financial reporting
  • Assist in documenting internal processes/controls and developing improvements as reinsurance processes and procedures for accurate and timely analysis of financial data including written premiums, losses, and investments and reinsurance, ensuring best practices
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work efficiently and effectively with other members of the team and should be able to communicate successfully with managing general agents and reinsurance partners
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, dedicated, responsible, hard-working team player
  • Works well under pressure, accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments
