A Senior Accountant drives clean, timely, audit-ready books by owning their assigned GL areas end-to-end and continuously improving how the close process runs.
In this role, you will:- Prepare and post journal entries across fixed assets, prepaid expenses and accruals, AP, cash, and corporate card activity
- Own month-end reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts and resolve variances in a timely manner
- Support the monthly and quarterly close calendar, continuously identifying opportunities to compress the timeline
- Manage the AP cycle end-to-end, including invoice coding, approval workflow, and payment runs
- Partner with department heads to ensure accurate expense coding and policy compliance
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Own the corporate card program reconciliation and work cross-functionally to enforce T&E policy
- Serve as a key contributor to the annual external audit, owning your GL areas from PBC list through fieldwork
- Help build and maintain accounting policies and internal controls documentation
- Proactively identify manual, repetitive workflows and propose automation or system-driven solutions
- Document processes as you build them - we're establishing infrastructure, not inheriting it
