About the role

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Accounting Manager will lead our Accounting Operations team, manage the month end close, and play a key role in scaling and improving the company's financial processes. Leading a team focused on accounting activities related to general ledger accounting functions such as cash, intercompany, inventory, prepaids, and accruals, you will coach, mentor and develop team members to their full potential, ensuring they have the tools, training and resources to excel in their work. In this highly cross-functional role, you will work closely with a variety of AMP departments to include Revenue, Central Operations, Legal and Strategic Finance.

Position Overview:

  • Responsible for critical accounting areas, including cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany, as well as transfer pricing
  • Maintain inventory rigor, reconciliation, and accurate COGS entries
  • Directly work on and manage all activities and functions related to AMP Accounting Operations
  • Analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations
  • Successfully lead and develop high-performing accounting team
  • Manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations and analytical review

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent), CPA preferred
  • Multi-state, multi-site, multi-entity experience required
  • 2+ years successfully leading a team (as a Senior Accountant or Manager equivalent)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience (blend of public and industry accounting)
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, including cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany transactions
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles
  • Experience working in high-growth environments with strong processes and controls, superior project management and documentation skills
