OPPORTUNITY

AlpHa Measurement Solutions has tremendous opportunity to capitalize on new commercial opportunities and recognizes the need to strengthen its Sales & Marketing capabilities to meet increased demand and support continued growth by further penetrating attractive end markets with its differentiated product portfolio. We have an immediate need for a Senior Account Manager to bolster our Houston-based commercial team.

Our global headquarters is conveniently located in Houston at the southwest intersection of I-69 and Sam Houston Tollway, just north of Sugar Land.

This individual will report to the North America Director of Sales

Classification: Salaried/Exempt, Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and as required to maintain business momentum.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

The Senior Account Manager will manage strategic territory, build strong relationships with decision makers and technical stakeholders, and work closely with internal engineering, operations, and customer support teams to deliver value-driven solutions. This individual should bring a proven track record of consultative sales, account growth, pipeline management, and customer relationship development within a technical or industrial environment.

Essential Functions

  • Manage and grow strategic customer accounts while pursuing new business opportunities in assigned markets and territories.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposals, negotiations, implementation support, and account expansion.
  • Build trusted relationships with decision-makers, technical stakeholders, procurement teams, and executive sponsors, serving as the primary commercial contact.
  • Understand customer goals and technical requirements, partnering with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, quotations, and business reviews, while negotiating pricing and contracts that protect profitability.
  • Maintain strategic account plans, CRM records, sales pipelines, revenue forecasts, and updates on opportunities, risks, competitors, and market trends.
  • Achieve revenue, margin, retention, and growth targets while representing Alpha Measurement Solutions professionally, mentoring colleagues, and upholding company standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (MBA would be preferred).
  • Minimum 5-7 years of account management or business development experience
  • Proven track record of managing and growing strategic customer accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed annual revenue, margin, customer retention targets.
  • Experience selling technical products, services, or solutions to complex customer organizations with multiple decision-makers
  • Experience with communicating technical and complex information concisely and clearly.
  • Experience in utilizing CRM to manage sales tasks.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Ability to understand customer technical requirements and coordinate with internal engineering, service, operations, and support teams to deliver appropriate solutions.
