Account Executive- Commercial HVAC (Remote)

Series A Climate Tech Startup | Commercial HVAC Sales | High-Growth Opportunity

The Opportunity

Looking for an Account Executive to lead outbound sales efforts and accelerate commercial growth. This is a foundational role for someone who thrives in early-stage environments, enjoys building from the ground up, and knows how to navigate complex technical sales cycles.

You'll own the full customer journey - from prospecting and relationship-building to negotiation and close - while helping shape the company's go-to-market strategy as an early member of the commercial team.

We're looking for a driven seller with deep curiosity, strong commercial instincts, and experience within the HVAC, building systems, or adjacent technical industries.

What You'll Do
  • Generate new business opportunities across commercial real estate, building ownership, engineering firms, and mechanical contractors
  • Build and manage a robust outbound pipeline through cold outreach, referrals, networking, industry events, and market research
  • Own the full sales cycle from discovery through contract execution and signed purchase orders
  • Position HVAC solutions around energy efficiency, operational performance, and long-term cost savings
  • Partner closely with engineering and technical teams to develop customized proposals and solutions
  • Help shape sales messaging, pricing strategy, and go-to-market processes as an early commercial hire
  • Develop long-term customer relationships that drive repeat business and strategic partnerships
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial agreements that align customer needs with company goals
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM hygiene

What We're Looking For

You're commercially minded, technically credible, and energized by creating opportunity from scratch. You combine strong relationship-building skills with the persistence needed to succeed in long and complex sales cycles.
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of B2B closing experience
  • 2-5+ years selling commercial HVAC, mechanical systems, building technologies, or related technical solutions
  • Proven success sourcing and closing net-new business
  • Experience selling into commercial building stakeholders, including owners, operators, engineers, contractors, or developers
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience managing technical evaluations, proposals, and contract negotiations
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and structured pipeline management
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working at an early-stage or high-growth startup
  • Background in energy efficiency, decarbonization, or climate technology
  • Familiarity with DOAS, ventilation systems, or advanced air-side technologies
  • Existing relationships within commercial real estate or mechanical contractor networks
