Job Summary

Responsible for supporting Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations under the guidance of senior team members. Assists with user access provisioning, account lifecycle management, entitlement administration, and access-related support activities in accordance with established security policies and procedures. Develops a foundational understanding of IAM principles, user registration processes, authentication methods, and access governance practices. Performs routine access reviews, maintains accurate documentation, and helps ensure access requests are processed accurately and timely. Demonstrates strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, customer service orientation, and a commitment to protecting organizational assets through effective access management controls.

Job Description

What You'll Do:

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:
  • Process user access requests, including provisioning, modifying, and deprovisioning accounts and entitlements for applications not integrated with the corporate Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform.
  • Create, manage, and maintain Active Directory groups, service accounts, and password safes in accordance with established security standards.
  • Provide timely support and guidance to end users regarding access management requests, processes, and access-related incidents.
  • Monitor and fulfill identity lifecycle activities, ensuring access is granted, modified, and removed accurately and in compliance with IAM policies.
  • Develop, maintain, and update documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles related to registration and access management processes.
  • Utilize basic PowerShell scripting and SQL queries to support access administration, reporting, and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in access reviews, audits, security initiatives, and other IAM-related projects as assigned.
  • Follow established security procedures, controls, and operational standards to ensure the protection of organizational systems and data.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage assigned tasks, requests, and project activities to meet service level expectations.
  • Collaborate with Security, IT, and business partners to support seamless identity and access management operations across the organization.
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation and provide primary or backup support as scheduled.


Work Schedule Requirements:
  • Ability to work on-site five (5) days per week at the designated work location.
  • Ability to work standard business hours and provide consistent in-person support to team members, customers, and business partners.
  • Ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule and provide after-hours support as required.
  • Ability to work occasional shift schedules, extended hours, or overtime to support business, operational, and security needs.


Preferred Requirements:

Core Knowledge:
  • Basic understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) principles and access control concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and access administration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


Technical Skills:
  • Basic proficiency in PowerShell scripting and SQL queries for reporting, automation, and administrative tasks.
  • Ability to learn and support identity and security technologies used within the environment.


Preferred Knowledge:
  • Exposure to or familiarity with one or more of the following technologies:
  • Privileged Access Management Systems, e.g. CyberArk. HashiCorp
  • Enterprise ticketing systems, e.g. ServiceNow
  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) e.g. Splunk, QRadar
  • Active Directory security and recovery platforms e.g. Semperis


What We're Looking For:

Education and Work Experience requirements are listed below:
  • Bachelor's degree OR Associates degree with one year relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 2 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical); OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program; alternatively may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment).


No additional experience required in addition to experience identified above.
