Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of overall cybersecurity technical and networking experience.
    • - 1-3 years of consulting or professional services experience delivering customer-facing engagements preferred.
  • Palo Alto Networks Certifications (Cybersecurity Practitioner, Network Security Professional or above) a plus.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks technologies in one or more of the following: NGFWs, Panorama, Prisma, Strata Cloud Manager, and GlobalProtect.
  • Working knowledge of routing and switching sufficient to support firewall deployments (VLANs, static/dynamic routing, interface configuration).
  • Experience working within formal customer change management processes and change windows desired.
  • Strong written communication skills, including technical design and migration documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SSCP, CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification.
  • Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g., Cybersecurity Practitioner, PCNSP or above).
  • Experience migrating from other firewall vendors (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point) to Palo Alto Networks.
  • Prior experience in a consulting, systems integrator, or professional services organization.

Work Environment

This role delivers work in customer environments and may require travel to customer sites. Engagement schedules are driven by customer change windows, which may include evening, overnight, or weekend maintenance windows.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $137,200 to $171,500 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

Overview

WWT is hiring a Security Consultant to design, deploy, and migrate Palo Alto Networks security infrastructure for our customers. This role delivers hands-on engagements spanning firewall installation and configuration, cloud-delivered security management, and remote access - executed within customer change windows and change management procedures. The ideal candidate pairs deep Palo Alto product expertise with the documentation discipline and client presence expected of a WWT consultant.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and deploy Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls, Panorama, Prisma, Strata Cloud Manager, and GlobalProtect in customer environments.
  • Plan and execute migrations to Palo Alto Networks platforms, including migration of existing firewall configurations, rule bases, and policy objects from legacy or third-party platforms.
  • Perform all deployment and migration work within customer-approved change windows, following each customer's change management procedures.
  • Produce design and delivery documentation, including high-level and low-level designs, migration runbooks, cutover plans, and as-built documentation.
  • Support route and switch configuration as needed to complete firewall deployment and migration engagements.
  • Troubleshoot issues during and after deployment or migration, and support post-implementation stabilization.
  • Communicate status, risks, and technical decisions clearly to customer stakeholders and WWT project teams.
  • Partner with WWT account teams and engineering to scope work and identify follow-on opportunities.
