How You'll Make an Impact

The Security Operations Manager reports to the Vice President of Cybersecurity and is responsible for day-to-day execution of the credit union's cybersecurity operations program. This role focuses on operational security monitoring, identity administration support, control execution, vulnerability coordination, incident response support, and audit evidence readiness.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage day-to-day security operations activities, including alert review, escalation coordination, case tracking, and support for managed security services or internal monitoring functions.
  • Coordinate incident response activities, including triage, tabletop exercise, documentation, evidence preservation, operational security readiness activities, communications support, and remediation follow-up.
  • Support identity and access management processes, including provisioning governance, privileged access controls, periodic access reviews, and separation-of-duties administration.
  • Coordinate remediation efforts resulting from internal and external security assessments, penetration tests, audits, and regulatory examinations, including tracking findings through closure and reporting status to the Vice President of Cybersecurity.
  • Administer and coordinate security tools, dashboards, logging, endpoint controls, cloud security monitoring, and other operational cybersecurity controls.
  • Support third-party security reviews by collecting documentation, tracking findings, and monitoring remediation commitments.
  • Assist with policy administration, control validation, testing support, and preparation of evidence for audits, exams, and regulatory reviews.
  • Prepare operational metrics and reporting for the Vice President of Cybersecurity, including trends, incidents, control performance, and risk indicators.
  • Partner closely with infrastructure, application, and digital delivery teams while maintaining focus on security control execution and independent issue escalation.


What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of cybersecurity or information security experience, including hands-on operational security work.
  • Experience supporting security operations, IAM, incident response, vulnerability management, and security tooling.
  • Experience in a financial institution or other regulated environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft security tools, cloud security controls, endpoint protection, logging and monitoring, and audit support processes.
  • Relevant certifications preferred, such as Security+, CISSP, GSEC, GIAC, or equivalent depending on experience level.

Compensation & Rewards

Compensation for this role is $130,000 - $170,000 per year with the potential for discretionary incentive compensation based on both company and individual performance.
