Job Description

Security Manager, Global Security and Safety GSS, Armed Guard-Sentry Post is responsible for the physical security and risk identification and mitigation for Visa. Reporting to the Visa Security Director of Washington DC, the candidate will coordinate security protection at Visas Main Entry Points, either lobby or main entrance on floor where Visas offices are located, as outlined in Visas Global Security and Safety strategy, and work closely with regional teams for planning and execution.

Essential Functions.
  • Provide protection to employees and visitors including developing, assessing, and implementing protection strategies and plans.
  • Conduct advance work for upcoming meetings and venues, conduct risk assessment and determine appropriate deployment of resources.
  • Direct and lead Visa staff during emergency incidents.
  • Partake in continuous training for GSS Team members.
  • Receipt of guests visiting Visa floor, oversee security for high profile visitors including coordination of resources, meetings, and transportation etc.
  • Be able to obtain a CCW for Washington DC.
  • Be available to work nights, extended hours, and weekends as necessary.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Minimum of twelve years law enforcement, military and or corporate security experience.
  • 10 plus years of work experience with a bachelors degree
  • Possesses Law Enforcement Armed training and experience in the following: medical, First Aid, CPR, AED and investigations.
  • Experience managing security in Washington DC, both low and high risk.
  • Demonstrated professional and relevant experience in physical security management, risk assessment, and mitigation measures.
  • Eligible to obtain an Armed Guard License for Washington DC, possess a minimum amount of 12 years in US Law Enforcement or select US Military roles, good conduct, and honorable discharge.
  • Operational understanding and fluent usage of todays technology tools across all platforms PC, tablet, smartphone-smartwatch, radio, satellite, tracking device, etc.
  • Must maintain up-to-date drivers license.
  • Valid up to date passport.
  • Ability to interact with senior management.
  • Be a poised leader and team player who gains support from all levels of the organization, including senior executives.
  • Excellent follow-up skills with attention to detail and ability to multi task, have leadership presence, strong team orientation and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and strong analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a complex environment with multi location team structure.
  • Be in possession of a valid and up to date HR218 certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and SharePoint

The estimated salary range for this position is $116,300.00 to $ 186,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
