Job Summary:
The Seat Complete Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering vehicle seating systems.
This includes ensuring that seats meet safety, performance, and regulatory standards.
The role involves working across different departments and managing the seat product from the initial concept through to production.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and/or integrate seat structures, seat components, foam, trim and full seat systems.
Handle product release lifecycle: create and maintain BOMs, manage design revisions using change management systems.
Ensure successful integration of the seat system in the vehicle.
Develop DVPRs and support both prototype and production builds.
Analyze problems,lead root cause and troubleshooting on design and manufacturing issues.
Implement interim and permanent corrective actions to design and manufacturing issues.
Work closely with suppliers on the design, quality and delivery of seat parts.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet project goals.
Oversee the full life of the seat product-from concept, through production, to end-of-life.
Make sure all designs meet safety regulation, performance specifications and customer requirements.
