Position OverviewContribute to the design and advancement of next-generation heavy-duty and autonomous vehicle platforms. This role will be responsible for driving electrical and electronic system architecture, developing and managing system requirements, supporting system integration, evaluating functional safety considerations, and contributing to regulatory compliance across the full product development lifecycle. A primary area of focus will be the implementation and integration of software-driven vehicle features.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain electrical and electronic system specifications for vehicle platforms.
- Establish, document, and maintain system requirements, technical interfaces, and related engineering documentation.
- Lead the technical definition and development of new vehicle capabilities and enhancements to existing features.
- Contribute to the evolution of vehicle platform architectures supporting both conventional and autonomous vehicle programs.
- Maintain requirements traceability and support change and configuration management throughout the product development process.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues spanning electrical hardware, embedded software, and vehicle communication networks.
- Facilitate engineering reviews and technical collaboration among internal engineering teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and external suppliers.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- At least 8 years of professional experience in automotive systems engineering.
- Demonstrated experience applying systems engineering practices and managing technical requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to addressing complex engineering challenges.
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and subject-matter experts.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience developing or integrating systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
- Experience working across mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines to support system-level integration.
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic architectures and electronics integration.
- Experience defining software requirements and supporting software-related change management processes.
Salary Range: $85,000-95,000The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
