Job Summary:The Scientist II is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing laboratory experiments related to liquid automation, analytical chemistry, and associated technologies. The role contributes to research and development projects through independent technical work, data interpretation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Scientist II personnel apply scientific principles to solve complex technical problems and support product development, validation activities, and technical service initiatives.
Responsibilities:Experimental Design and Execution- Plan, execute, document, and analyze laboratory experiments.
- Conduct validations and verifications of liquid handling instrumentation and associated technologies.
- Apply scientific judgment to interpret experimental data and recommend technical decisions.
- Maintain detailed laboratory documentation and data records.
Technical Expertise- Demonstrate proficiency with laboratory instrumentation, automated liquid handling systems, and liquid verification technologies.
- Apply scientific principles in chemistry, analytical methods, and automation technologies.
- Troubleshoot experimental methods and instrumentation.
Project Contributions- Contribute to multidisciplinary R&D projects supporting product development and customer applications.
- Recommend technical approaches that support project goals.
- Participate in project teams and contribute to milestone delivery.
Training and Mentorship- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior scientists, interns, and new employees.
- Support knowledge transfer and technical skill development within the team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Support partner teams including: Production, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Technical Support, Marketing
- Contribute to application notes, presentations, and technical documentation.
