The Scheduler V performs highly complex scheduling and project controls work involving the development, maintenance, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of program-wide project schedules. The role supports the full project and construction lifecycle, including baseline and master scheduling, critical path analysis, schedule QA/QC, cost and resource loading, earned value management, delay and time impact analysis, schedule forecasting, risk identification, and recovery planning. The Scheduler V also provides technical leadership to construction project team schedulers and serves as a key liaison among contractors, designers, project controls, construction leadership, and program management.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field from a recognized college or university required.
- An additional four (4) years of qualifying experience beyond the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education.
Preferred Certifications
- AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification preferred.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
What You'll Need to Get the Job Done
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of recent capital construction scheduling experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera Scheduling Software and Microsoft Office applications, including Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience developing and maintaining cost- and resource-loaded schedules.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business processes.
- Strong understanding of cost engineering, scheduling best practices, critical path methodology, and schedule forensics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to foster collaboration across diverse project teams.
- Experience supporting complex capital construction programs and multiple concurrent projects preferred.
What You'll Do
- Support Program Controls leadership with the planning, development, monitoring, and control of program-wide project schedules, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, project objectives, and key program milestones.
- Develop, maintain, and update baseline, master, and detailed project schedules incorporating approved scope, activities, logic relationships, constraints, milestones, calendars, resources, and cost information.
- Coordinate with cost, estimating, risk management, program management, design, and college construction teams to maintain alignment between schedule, cost, risk, and overall program performance.
- Monitor and document construction progress against approved baseline schedules and validate reported progress through schedule reviews, field observations, and site visits as required.
- Review contractor schedule submittals for compliance with standard operating procedures, contract requirements, schedule specifications, approved baselines, logic, critical path methodology, milestones, and reporting requirements.
- Perform schedule QA/QC, including detailed review of critical paths, activity relationships, constraints, calendars, milestones, float, cost and resource loading, coding structures, and overall schedule integrity.
- Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA), delay analysis, and detailed investigations of schedule impacts to determine effects on critical activities, contractual milestones, and overall project completion.
- Identify, track, and communicate schedule risks, construction issues, conflicts, and potential delays; support the development and evaluation of recovery and mitigation strategies.
- Serve as a key liaison among contractors, designers, construction project leadership, project controls, and program leadership regarding schedule-related issues and resolution strategies.
- Develop and maintain complex resource- and cost-loaded program schedules to support critical path analysis, Earned Value Management, cash-flow forecasting, resource planning, and broader project and program management reporting.
- Lead schedule-focused discussions during weekly progress meetings, schedule reviews, and stakeholder sessions, communicating current performance, critical activities, emerging risks, and required corrective actions.
- Prepare project schedule performance reports and status updates highlighting baseline variance, critical path changes, milestone performance, forecast completion dates, delays, risks, and recovery actions.
- Conduct regular QA/QC reviews of program and master schedules to verify schedule integrity, consistency, coding standards, data accuracy, and alignment across projects.
- Maintain program-level scheduling standards, coding structures, processes, tools, and data integrity while supporting continuous improvement of scheduling practices and controls.
- Collaborate with program teams to establish and implement scheduling standards, best practices, templates, procedures, and tools across multiple projects.
- Support development of schedule-related presentations, technical materials, lessons learned, and continuous-improvement initiatives; contribute to internal and external presentations, conferences, and technical publications as appropriate.
- Lead step-by-step onboarding for new construction project team schedulers.
- Supervise the daily work of construction project team schedulers.
- Provide back-up support during construction project team scheduler absences.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Salary
- $184,000.00 - $194,000.00 annually
