Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced
SAP Security & Basis Support Specialist to manage, maintain, and secure our global SAP landscape. In this dual-focused role, you will split your expertise between SAP Basis administration (ensuring system availability, performance, and lifecycle management) and SAP Security (managing user access, role design, and compliance).
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in SAP NetWeaver, S/4HANA, and ECC, with a proven track record of maintaining system health and enforcing robust security policies.
Key ResponsibilitiesSAP Basis Support- SystemAdministration: Monitor, analyze, and tune SAP system performance.Manage daily system health checks, background jobs, and spooladministration.
- TransportManagement: Manage the SAP Transport Management System (TMS) to ensuresafe and orderly imports across Development, Quality Assurance, andProduction environments.
- Database& OS Administration: Perform HANA database administration,including backups, restores, system replication, and performancetroubleshooting.
- Lifecycle& Maintenance: Execute SAP kernel upgrades, apply support packages(SPS), implement SAP Notes, and assist with system copies/refreshes.
- Backup& Recovery: Maintain and test disaster recovery and backup plansto ensure business continuity.
SAP Security & Compliance- Role& Profile Management: Design, build, test, and maintain SAPsecurity roles (single, composite, and derived) using transaction codePFCG across ABAP and Java stacks.
- UserProvisioning: Manage user lifecycles, including creation, lock/unlockactions, password resets, and termination procedures using SU01 and SU10.
- Segregationof Duties (SoD): Analyze and remediate SoD conflicts. Maintain and runcompliance reports using SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) AccessControl.
- Audit& Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular security self-audits,support internal/external audit requests, and apply security patches(HotNews) to protect against vulnerabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis Administration and SAPSecurity role design.
- SystemKnowledge: Strong technical knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAPFiori, and NetWeaver-based systems.
- DatabaseExpertise: Proven experience administering SAP HANA databases (HANAStudio, Cockpit).
- SecurityTools: Deep familiarity with SAP Security transactions (PFCG, SU01,SU53, ST01) and SAP GRC Access Control (ARA, ARM, EAM).
- OperatingSystems: Solid command of Linux (SUSE/RHEL) and Windows Serverenvironments.
- ProblemSolving: Strong analytical skills to diagnose complex database,application, and user-access bottlenecks.
Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills- Experiencemanaging SAP environments hosted on public cloud infrastructure (AWS,Microsoft Azure, or GCP).
- Familiaritywith SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) or SAP Cloud ALM.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration, or SAP Security certifications).
