About the Role

We're looking for a proactive professional to join our team as Lead, SAP FICA and Localization Expert. In this role, you will design, configure, and validate Mexico-specific regulatory and statutory requirements within the SAP FICA framework, with particular expertise in SAP DRC, CFDI e-invoicing, SAT reporting obligations, and MX C2C process localization. You will work in close coordination with the Lead Consultant - SAP FICA Development, the SAP system integrator, and the data integrator to deliver a compliant, production-ready MX solution. You will serve as the definitive SAP localization authority for the MX FICA program.

What You'll Do
  • Own the end-to-end design and SAP configuration for all Mexico-specific regulatory requirements within the FICA/C2C solution.
  • Lead the configuration of SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) for MX statutory reporting obligations, including CFDI 4.0 e-invoicing, CFDI cancellation workflows, and SAT submission and acknowledgment processes.
  • Configure and validate IVA tax determination, withholding taxes, and tax code mapping within the FICA framework.
  • Design and execute compliance-focused test scenarios covering CFDI generation and cancellation, DRC reporting outputs, IVA/ISR tax accuracy, DIOT reporting, and electronic accounting file generation.
  • Review and approve all RICEFW objects related to MX regulatory processes to ensure correctness and compliance.
  • Work with the SAP system integrator to resolve DRC configuration gaps, PAC integration issues, and regulatory reporting defects.
  • Configure and validate MX-specific C2C business processes within FICA including contract account setup, MX billing document types, local dunning procedures, interest calculation variants, and clearing processes aligned with MX business practices.
  • Support Data Integrator in defining and validating MX-specific data migration objects, including contract account master data, open item structures, and tax-relevant fields required for regulatory compliance.
  • Produce comprehensive localization design documents, DRC configuration guides, and regulatory compliance test evidence for the MX FICA solution.
  • Deliver knowledge-transfer sessions to the Element IT team and AMS support team covering MX regulatory configuration, DRC operation, CFDI troubleshooting, and SAT reporting procedures.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting/Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years of SAP experience with a minimum of 8 years in SAP FI-CA (Contract Accounting / FICA) in an S/4 HANA environment.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience implementing SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) for Mexico, including CFDI 4.0 e-invoicing generation, cancellation workflows, and SAT electronic submission processes.
  • Proven expertise with MX regulatory reporting in SAP: DIOT, electronic accounting (Contabilidad Electrónica / COE), and SAT compliance reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of Mexico tax framework within SAP: IVA, ISR withholding, IVA retenido, and tax code configuration in FICA.
  • Experience configuring PAC (Proveedor Autorizado de Certificación) integration for CFDI transmission and acknowledgment within SAP.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience extending an existing US or CA FICA C2C implementation to Mexico as a localization project.
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA FICA architecture and its interaction with SAP DRC in an S/4 context.
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP/CPI integration for CFDI and DRC reporting data flows.
  • Exposure to SAP BRIM (Billing and Revenue Innovation Management) in an MX context.
  • ABAP reading/debugging skills sufficient to triage DRC and CFDI technical defects.
  • Spanish language proficiency is an asset for engagement with MX business stakeholders.

Compensation

The hiring base salary range for this position is 111,100- 152,800 annually. This range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the expected base salary at the time of posting. Salary ranges may vary based on the geographic location where the work is performed. The salary range listed in this posting applies only to the location identified. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including the successful candidate's qualifications, knowledge, skills, experience, internal pay equity, and relevant market data. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in annual incentive programs, including bonuses, commissions, or other incentive compensation, as applicable to the role.
