Salesforce Product Owner - Erlanger, KY or Decatur, IL

Role Purpose
As part of the Global Commercial Excellence organization, the Salesforce Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the Salesforce platform at ADM (excluding existing merchandiser functionality). This role owns the product backlog, drives delivery of enhancements and releases, and ensures solutions align to business priorities and the global roadmap.
The Product Owner serves as the critical bridge between business stakeholders, Commercial Excellence, and Global Technology-translating business needs into scalable, user-centric solutions. This role also brings strong understanding of integrated systems and data flows that shape the end-to-end user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Roadmap Execution

  • Partner with the Salesforce Product Manager and business stakeholders to evaluate, shape, and prioritize enhancement opportunities
  • Lead initial discovery conversations to assess business value, feasibility, and alignment to roadmap
  • Translate business needs into well-defined epics, features, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria
  • Own and actively manage the Salesforce backlog, ensuring alignment to Commercial Excellence strategy and value outcomes
  • Balance global standardization with critical regional and business-specific needs
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Salesforce capabilities and promote out-of-the-box solutions where possible
Agile Delivery & Release Management
  • Collaborate with Scrum Masters and delivery teams to prioritize work and maximize value delivery each sprint
  • Act as the primary business representative within agile teams, ensuring clarity of requirements and priorities
  • Partner with Global Technology to validate solutions meet business requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Drive quality through active participation in testing, including functional validation and UAT coordination
  • Support release planning and execution, including communication, training, and change management activities
Data, Integrations & Platform Stewardship
  • Oversee data quality, governance, and lifecycle management across core Salesforce objects
  • Ensure alignment and effectiveness of integrations with external systems (e.g., ERP, Informatica)
  • Partner with technology teams to maintain platform health, scalability, and sustainability
Stakeholder Engagement & Adoption
  • Continuously assess user experience and identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve usability
  • Monitor adoption and usage metrics, driving actions to improve engagement and effectiveness
  • Lead or support training and enablement efforts for new and existing functionality
  • Build and sustain a network of data stewards and change champions to reinforce adoption and best practices
