Sales Specialist, Sell-Side Risk - Volatility, IR Curve Data, & Valuation Services Location New York Business Area Sales and Client Service Ref # 10054103 Description & Requirements Bloomberg's Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS), derivatives data (DDA) derivative valuation services (BVAL OTC) offer a comprehensive suite of valuation and risk management tools that deliver consistent, consolidated results across a client's entire firm. Powered by Bloomberg's world-class pricing library, market data, and mortgage cash flow engine, MARS-together with BVAL OTC-enables front-office, risk, middle-office, collateral managers, and other financial professionals to analyze trading and investment portfolios, manage and mitigate exposure, and prepare for a wide range of market conditions. What's the role? The Risk Sales Specialist is responsible for generating new revenue and leading the sales process for Bloomberg's derivative data (DDA) and derivative valuation (BVAL OTC) solutions for sell-side clients, ranging from small regional organizations to large global banks. As a key member of the team, you will build, run, and convert sales pipelines into revenue, develop strong relationships with senior decision-makers, and support brand awareness initiatives both internally and externally. You will also provide actionable market and client feedback to management to help shape strategy and product development. We'll trust you to: - Apply your derivatives, market data and technical expertise to generate revenue across Bloomberg's volatility, interest-rate curve, derivative data and valuation solutions. - Develop opportunities across Rates, FX, Equities, Commodities and Credit, spanning daily, intraday and historical derivative data and valuation workflows. - Establish and implement a pipeline building strategy for your target market - Balance multiple engagements across the sales lifecycle to achieve targets each quarter - Lead sell-side multi-products enterprise sales engagements in close collaboration with our Financial Engineers, Enterprise Data, Index and Risk Teams. - Engage with customers using a consultative approach to identify workflow gaps across market risk, front-office, quantitative, valuation, model validation, regulatory, market data and technology teams. - Articulate the features and benefits of the products in detail, so that you can act as a partner for your customers - Develop an in-depth knowledge of regional business and competitor's landscape - Contribute innovative ideas that anticipate, and address client needs - Participate actively in new projects that drive departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goals - Seek out additional ways to make an impact, such as mentoring, involvement in training, running campaigns, and active involvement in product enhancement You'll need to have: - Experience in financial services technology solutions sales where you have met or exceeded demanding targets - Demonstrable experience working with derivative products, gained from experiences as either a market participant, technology solutions support specialist or sales specialist -Strong understanding of derivatives markets and sell-side workflows, with experience in areas such as market risk, XVA, valuation, model validation, regulatory capital, volatility or market data. - Consultative sales approach and experience building relationships with senior level customers - Ability to engage and collaborate with other teams internally - Recent experience of selling derivative risk, valuation or data solutions, either with a vendor or as a market practitioner - Exemplary presentation, training and communication skills in English - The ability for regular travel Salary Range = 185,000 - 250,000 USD Annual + Benefits + Bonus The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
