Full Job Description
Sales Manager, Amazon Seller Ecosystem & Partnerships

We are hiring a U.S.-based Sales Manager to build the partner and ecosystem channels that will scale Optapex's reach across the Amazon seller community.

About the Job :

We are seeking a hands-on Sales Manager to accelerate the U.S. growth of Optapex by building one-to-many acquisition channels within the Amazon seller ecosystem. This is not a traditional direct-sales role focused on prospecting individual sellers one by one. The successful candidate will build relationships with Amazon-focused agencies, seller communities, ecommerce industry educators, marketplace events, technology partners, and other ecosystem "gatekeepers," and convert those relationships into qualified seller cohorts, trials, partner-sourced pipeline, and paid customers. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder who is comfortable operating inside the Amazon Seller/Selling Partner ecosystem - someone who has helped organize seller communities, agency networks, or partner programs - and who is equally willing to personally run outreach, workshops, and follow-up as a player-coach. This is a unique opportunity to help build a scalable go-to-market motion at the intersection of AI, digital commerce, and the Amazon marketplace within a global brand.

About the Benefits (Full-Time Employees) :
  • Pay: The base pay range for this position is $95,000 to $120,000. A wide range of factors are utilized in compensation decisions, including but not limited to, experience, skill-sets, job-related knowledge, geographic market, and other key qualifications based on business needs.
  • Commission-based position: In addition to base salary, the Employee is eligible for commissions/variable pay (target 15-20%) based on partner- and community-sourced pipeline and conversion, as outlined in the Company's Commission Plan, subject to change at the Company's discretion.
  • Healthcare: At no-cost premiums for you and eligible dependents (medical, dental, vision, prescription)
  • 401(k): Retirement Savings Plan with company match
  • Additional Perks: complimentary lunch on-site or lunch earning, phone stipend, company product discounts, service awards, educational support, etc.

Job Description

Main Responsibilities :

1. Ecosystem & Partnership Development
  • Build and manage a prioritized network of Amazon seller communities, ecommerce organizers, industry educators, agencies, and technology partners.
  • Recruit and activate Amazon-focused agencies capable of introducing Optapex across multiple client brands.
  • Develop relationships across the Amazon Ads and Selling Partner ecosystem, and establish routes into Amazon official events and partner programs.
  • Develop agency and community enablement programs, including onboarding, training, account audits, joint workshops, co-marketing, and case studies.

2. Commercial Strategy & Execution
  • Convert gatekeeper and community relationships into qualified seller cohorts, trials, and paid pipeline within the U.S. Amazon ecosystem.
  • Plan and execute Amazon PPC optimization clinics, seller advertising audits, profitability workshops, agency training sessions, and seller roundtables.
  • Pre-book meetings around key industry events and convert event participation into post-event seller cohorts and trials.
  • Personally lead early-stage partner and seller meetings as a player-coach - presenting, auditing accounts, and following up directly.

3. Pipeline & Reporting
  • Own partner- and community-sourced pipeline in Salesforce (or equivalent CRM) and track gatekeeper engagement, trial activation, and paid conversion.
  • Report on partner revenue, channel health, and program ROI to U.S. and HQ leadership.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and GTM teams to align channel activity with overall U.S. growth strategy.
  • Serve as a feedback loop to HQ product and R&D teams to inform U.S. market and ecosystem requirements.
  • Attend relevant industry events and represent company / Optapex in the Amazon and digital commerce ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 4-7+ years of experience in ecommerce, retail media, Amazon Ads, marketplace SaaS, ecommerce agency, partnerships, account management, or business development.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Amazon Seller / Selling Partner and Amazon Ads ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated experience building or engaging seller communities, agency networks, or partner/event programs - not solely managing an existing book of accounts.
  • Commercially accountable experience: pipeline, revenue, account growth, partner activation, or customer conversion.
  • Strong presentation, relationship-building, and cross-functional execution skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a hands-on, early-stage U.S. go-to-market environment.
  • Familiarity with digital KPIs such as ROAS, ACOS, CPC, and attribution models.
  • Proficient with Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25-30% for partners, sellers, and industry events.

Preferred Background :

Experience at Amazon (e.g., Selling Partner / Seller community, seller events, or partner programs), Pacvue / Helium 10, Teikametrics, Perpetua / Flywheel, Quartile, Intentwise, Jungle Scout, Amazon Ads, Skai, KINESSO, Tinuiti, Acadia, or a leading Amazon marketplace / advertising agency. Candidates who have personally helped organize seller or agency communities - rather than only managed accounts within one - are especially strong fits.

Target Market Focus :
  • Mid- to large-size Amazon sellers, D2C ecommerce brands, and digital agencies
  • Amazon-focused agencies, seller communities, industry educators, and technology/ecosystem partners

What We Are Not Looking For :
  • Pure enterprise SaaS sellers without Amazon/ecommerce ecosystem knowledge
  • Candidates who depend on SDR-generated appointments and do not originate relationships
  • Pure community managers without commercial ownership
  • Pure PPC operators with no partnership, customer-development, or external relationship experience
