The Sales Engineer serves as a liaison in the sales process when complex and technical equipment or services are involved.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Drive sales for the entire suite of Wavelynx products: readers, credentials, and mobile solutions
- Leverage technical expertise to understand client needs in physical access security, demonstrate our superior solution, and facilitate the sales process from initial contact through to successful implementation
- Prepare, develop, and conduct technical presentations to explain our products and services to both technical and non-technical customers. This can include technical training for Wavelynx partners
- Provide technical consultations and responses to RFPs and RFIs (integrators and consultants)
- Collaborate with the engineering teams to tailor Wavelynx products to client-specific requirements (custom configurations, plastics, credentials, etc.)
- Train other members of the sales team on the technical aspects of Wavelynx products
- Gather client feedback (end-users, integrators, OEM partners) for continuous product improvement, system requirements, equipment needs, and customer satisfaction. Ensure that customer needs are met, which may include product modifications
- Travel to provide solution demos for customers, partners, and trade shows
- Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains the benefits of changes
- Provides support to customers and resolves problems with installed equipment
- Prepares product orders and schedules deliveries
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences
- Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Google Suite or related software
Education & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a field related to products and services being sold is preferred
- 2-4 years of product or sales experience required
Salary: $80-$100k base + $12k SIP for a Total Expected OTE of $92-112k annually
