Job Req ID: 29833Job Summary:Supermicro Computer, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Sales Director to spearhead new business development efforts for our AI infrastructure and Data-Centric Building Block Solutions (DCBBS). This senior-level role is ideal for a strategic sales leader with deep industry expertise, a passion for emerging technologies, and a proven ability to engage large-scale datacenter and hyperscale customers.
The successful candidate will have 10-12 years of experience in technology sales and business development, with a strong focus on AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and data center infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in expanding Supermicro's presence in the AI market by securing key partnerships across datacenter users, owners, operators, and builders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth across Supermicro's AI infrastructure offerings, including DCBBS.
- Engage prospective clients and partners with consultative insight, aligning solutions with their AI workload and infrastructure objectives.
- Lead full-cycle project efforts-from prospecting and executive engagement to proposal development and deal closure.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Logistics) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with strategic accounts, enabling repeat business and expanded partnerships.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Supermicro's AI solutions and communicate technical value effectively to both technical and executive audiences.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and sales pipelines using CRM tools and provide timely updates on opportunity status and deal progression.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10-12 years of experience in technology sales, business development, and/or project management; minimum 5 years focused on AI, HPC, or data center infrastructure.
- Proven ability to engage hyperscale and data center business environments, with a track record of multimillion-dollar wins.
- Deep technical understanding of AI workloads, computing architecture, and infrastructure trends.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; able to influence at the C-level and across technical organizations.
- Familiarity with ecosystem players including OEMs, system integrators, and value-added resellers.
- Proficient in CRM platforms for pipeline management and sales operations.
- Multilingual abilities a plus; fluency in English required.
Salary Range$131,000 - $205,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
