Job Description
Description:

As a Senior Project Manager, assuming a coordination and agile facilitation role at scale inspired by the responsibilities of Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will be responsible for leading and overseeing complex projects involving multiple matrix teams, in a hybrid context combining traditional and agile methodologies. These projects, with a strong organizational impact, include business and IT components and include parallel deliveries in iterative mode.

Your role will be to mobilize stakeholders, ensure the performance of initiatives and contribute to the achievement of strategic objectives, acting as a facilitator of cross-functional collaboration and agility at scale, while promoting continuous improvement and organizational agility.

Projects:

  • Manage strategic projects of different sizes, multi-year and multi-team, in a complex matrix environment.
  • Provide a cross-functional coordination role inspired by the TEN-inspired to support the planning, execution and synchronization of the work of several teams contributing to the same strategic initiative.
  • Orchestrate the end-to-end value stream of the ecosystem, coordinating multiple teams in a hybrid context (SAFe/Kanban).
  • Facilitate PI Plannings, Scrum of Scrums, PO Syncs, and System Demos to ensure continuous alignment between strategic vision and execution.
  • Map and manage cross-team and cross-domain dependencies. Anticipate bottlenecks and make transitions smoother.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and business leaders to maintain consistency in the delivery roadmap.

Governance and Accountability:

  • Implement a lean, decision-oriented governance: clear roles, decision-making powers, escalation mechanisms.
  • Lead governance bodies (steering committee, progress reviews) focused on risks, blockages and required decisions.
  • Ensure global visibility into capacity, critical dependencies, and financial issues.

Integrated Planning and Capacity Management:

  • Organize and lead planning, monitoring and feedback bodies.
  • Oversees the planning of resources, costs and schedules, taking into account changing priorities and capacity constraints.
  • Facilitate key planning and alignment activities at scale (integrated planning, inter-team synchronizations, global progress reviews).
  • Supervise and mobilize matrix multidisciplinary teams by promoting autonomy, collaboration and operational excellence.

Delivery performance and execution at scale:

  • Manage simultaneous deliveries in iterative mode in a program or multi-project context.
  • Set up and manage a performance dashboard focused on the fluidity and efficiency of flows, using key indicators.
  • Measure and improve the predictability of delivery increments.
  • Produce data-driven, action-oriented and decision-oriented progress reports for senior management.
  • Proficiency in performance visualization tools (ADO dashboards, LeanKit/Planview AgilePlace, Power BI)
  • Identify sources of inefficiencies in the value chain and recommend quantifiable corrective actions.
  • Risk Management and Stakeholders
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies (organizational, technical, operational)
  • Define and implement appropriate action plans, including escalation mechanisms when required.
  • Ensure proactive, transparent and structured communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Foster alignment, engagement, and informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Coach Scrum Masters, Tech Leads, and teams in the adoption of Lean-Agile practices and the use of monitoring tools.

Continuous improvement and delivery maturity:

  • Structure and evolve the delivery framework and practices in place.
  • Strengthen the predictability, quality and reliability of achievements in order to sustainably raise the maturity of delivery in this strategic area.
  • Explore and integrate artificial intelligence tools (such as GitHub Copilot and M365 Copilot) to accelerate delivery practices: automating reports, anticipating risk, and optimizing the backlog.
  • Evolve the delivery maturity of the ecosystem based on a measurable maturity model (DevOps, CI/CD, test automation, release management).
  • Promote a culture of experimentation and rapid feedback.

Requirements

Desired profile:

  • More than 8 years of experience in project management, including 3 years in an RTE role
  • Significant experience in agile or hybrid contexts at scale (SAFe, Kanban at scale, or Lean portfolio management, multi-team coordination, programs, cross-functional projects)
  • PMP, SAFe, RTE or equivalent certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, administration, project management or any other relevant training or work experience deemed equivalent;
  • Good understanding of the insurance industry (pricing, claims).
  • In-depth knowledge of information technology (development, architecture, Azure DevOps, ADO Dashboard, etc.)
