Risk Management & Contract Compliance Senior Analyst

Primary Role:

The Risk Management & Contract Compliance Senior Analyst will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the organization's adherence to legal and compliance policies and relevant US and foreign laws and regulations that PAX and its subsidiaries and affiliates are subject to (including but not limited to privacy, anti-corruption, anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, fraud and sanctions laws and regulations) as well as reviewing, negotiating, and monitoring contracts and grant agreements. This position will work to support the Vice President of Finance & Administration in ensuring operational compliance and risk mitigation.

The Hiring range for this position is: $81,000 - $91,000 annually

Location:

This position is located at the PAX sapiens headquarters in Broomfield, CO. The PAX office operates on a hybrid in-office/work from home model with Tuesdays and Thursdays in-office.

Primary Responsibilities:

Grants and Contracts Management
  • Review and approve independent contractor agreements, vendor purchase agreements, MOUs, partnership agreements, and proposals.
  • Oversee and support with the timely completion of internal and external reports contract lifecycle activities (review, execution, monitoring, and renewal).
  • Analyze, interpret, and apply investor and donor regulations, terms and conditions of grants and contracts, and PAX policies in the day-to-day management of all programs, serving as the lead advisor on award compliance.
  • Work with executive team and program leads to negotiate terms and conditions of awards and modifications.
  • Administers andmaintainsdocumentation related to contracts, including templates, and electronic records.
  • Coordinate the rollout ofprocurement and contract policies and procedures.
  • Delivertrainingto support effective and efficient operations in procurement, solicitation, and contract administration.
  • Develop staff capabilities andencourage the adoption of internal polices, ensuringproficiencyand compliance with establishedprocedures.
  • Protect PAX interests and effectively communicate the same to staff during negotiations over contract terms.
  • Coordinate withthe Vice President of Finance & Administration and outside counselto ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Prepare anddisseminatecontractreportsstatustostaffon a regular monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Maintain detailed and organized files, andreports /metricsregardingPAX contracts.
  • Review insurance policy coverages periodically to ensure coverage needs have not changed.


Compliance
  • Lead the design and development of compliance policies and procedures and partner with program staff to oversee the implementation of compliance standards and practices.
  • Identify legal or ethical vulnerabilities before they cause financial or reputational damage.
  • Drive the identification and development of corrective action plans to resolve problematic compliance issues. Develop strategies and practices to reduce the potential for violations and noncompliance.
  • Stay appraised of relevant changes in rules and regulations and communicate updates to PAX's staff.
  • Enhance subject matter expertise on various relevant compliance topics.
  • Develop and conduct training to contribute to organizational learning and increase knowledge in grants, contracts, and compliance topics.
  • Maintain and update corporate and charitable filings and registrations.
  • Manage third party screenings of vendors, event attendees, partners, and independent contractors.


Required Education, Knowledge,Skillsand Competences:
  • Advanced degree or equivalent relevant experience in contract management, law, risk management, and compliance.
  • Excellent writing skills in English.
  • Excellent time management skills, and the ability to effectively juggle multiple competing priorities
  • Comfortable pivoting between tasks to address changing priorities & deadlines
  • Comfort with flexible working environments and role ambiguity
  • Experience with MS Office
  • Experience managing Zoom/MS Teams platforms
