Responsibilities
How you'll make an impact in this role - Regional Operational & Financial Accountability: Holds full responsibility for service excellence, regulatory compliance (including TJC standards), and managing annual operating and capital budgets across multiple geographic sites.
- Leadership Development & Coaching: Focuses on building, mentoring, and retaining a high-performing team of on-site managers, while implementing controls to help them meet service delivery and organizational goals.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conducts in-depth site reviews to identify operational deficiencies, establishes corrective action plans, and provides detailed feedback to senior leadership to ensure compliance with Medxcel policies and regulatory codes.
- Customer Relationship Management: Fosters key client relationships and builds brand loyalty through frequent site visits, periodic business reviews, and supporting local teams in driving customer satisfaction and cost-reduction opportunities.
- Strategic Innovation & Collaboration: Partners with corporate executives to drive regional business innovation, lead strategic initiatives, and leverage professional society involvement to promote the Medxcel brand.
Qualifications
Must have one or more of the following:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or management OR 15+ years' relevant experience in lieu of degree required.
- Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM) preferred
Work Experience:
Experience & Technical Expertise: Requires 10-15 years of healthcare facilities management (or outsourcing) experience, deep knowledge of hospital operations and facility systems, proficiency in MS Office, and a preferred Lean/Six Sigma certification.
Leadership & Project Management: Proven ability to lead other managers, develop service programs, and manage complex projects from budget adherence to resource recruitment using strong strategic planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Communication & Mobility: Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate across all organizational levels, combined with the ability to adapt quickly to changing scopes and travel 75-80% overnight (requiring access to a major airport).
