Full Job Description
Credentials: Master's degree in behavioral health field required. Active clinical license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT or equivalent).

Location: Sacramento, CA.

Seeking an experienced Residential Clinical Director to oversee clinical services within a residential substance use treatment program. This role provides clinical leadership, supervises therapists, supports residential programming, and helps maintain a safe, structured, and recovery-focused treatment environment.

Responsibilities include oversight of treatment planning, clinical documentation, residential programming, chart audits, staff supervision, and clinical quality. Works closely with program leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support coordinated care and continuity across levels of service.

Requirements:
  • Minimum five years of experience in substance use treatment
  • Experience working in a residential treatment setting
  • Minimum two years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet automobile insurance requirements
  • Successful completion of background check, drug test, physical, and TB screening

Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices and ASAM criteria, particularly residential levels of care
  • Working knowledge of DHCS and Joint Commission standards
  • Experience supervising and developing clinical teams in a 24/7 treatment environment
  • Knowledge of clinical documentation and compliance requirements
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across clinical, medical, and operational teams

Compensation: $120k+ depending on experience plus annual performance-based bonus of up to 10%
