Job Title: Research Professional [MULTIPLE POSITIONS]

Job Location: Berkeley, CA

Job Type: Full Time

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position in Berkeley, CA is $166,566.00 to $172,278.00 per year and this role may be eligible to earn incentive compensation. Duties: Manage product features focused on flexible robot grasping, robotic assembly, and other advanced robotic applications. Collaborate with business units to understand the requirements in order to create and deliver solutions to customer needs. Generate patents and publications in top journals and conferences in the field of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence. Create technical reports and presentations to effectively communicate project results and ideas to internal or/and external partners. Support internal funding acquisition. Ensure product quality work through validation, version control, and continuous integration practices. Provide knowledge on software architecture and software engineering methods for creating the next generation of robotics and autonomous machines. Develop, extend, support, and apply robotics and autonomous systems software. Educate and transfer technologies to company business units for product implementations.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field and no experience.

Position requires coursework, internship, or experience in the following:
  1. Full stack Robotics solution development
  2. Design of industrial automation solutions including architecting OT and IT systems
  3. Machine Learning for autonomous robotic behavior
  4. System integration of industrial hardware with runtime software
  5. Prototyping machine vision algorithms for environmental awareness
  6. Product design and development.

5% Domestic and International Travel Required. [On-site role]
