The Microscope Sales Representative III position is a career track opportunity to join an elite, professional sales team. You and the local territory Research Imaging /Confocal Imaging Sales Representatives will identify customer needs based upon detailed discussions. Using your product and application knowledge, you will provide technical solutions to meet the customer's microscope, imaging and system needs. Job Duties

  • Function as a resource for the customer using product knowledge and application capabilities in microscopy digital imaging software and confocal microscopy.
  • Provide the customer with demonstration and application notes in order to address all needs and promote a complete solution.
  • Meet sales targets in the growing microscopy and digital imaging marketplace.
  • Work with the following as appropriate: Evident Scientific sales representatives and marketing personnel dealers and independent customers in order to meet sales targets.
  • Prepare quotations for customers to include detailed software and digital imaging specifications.
  • Attend trade and local shows assigned.
  • Plan and conduct major presentations to explain theory and use of software and imaging products for high end researchers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with leading researchers in the territory in order to enhance the reputation of Evident in this market. These relationships present opportunities to understand the needs of the account address them maximize customer service and support and sell solutions.
  • Attend advanced technical and sales training sessions.
  • Maintain, manage and be accountable for sample account.
  • Provide Sales Manager with weekly call reports and update of forecast.
  • Work to develop Evident specifications for bids.

Job Requirements

Education:

College degree in life sciences or equivalent knowledge.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 to 4 years sales experience in high-end capital equipment sales.

Skills:

Strong interpersonal communications and computer skills.

Demonstrated familiarity in: Digital imaging to include software operation and hardware set up, Life science research skills, Optics and Research microscopy and confocal microscopy.
