Job Description

Arconic is currently in search of a Reliability Engineer to join our Tennessee Operations in Alcoa, TN.

The objective of the Reliability Engineering is to work across the Plant and with Arconic's Corporate group to establish and implement equipment reliability systems and disciplines within a framework of "Reliability Excellence" (REX) program. This includes Maintenance Work Planning, Equipment Bad Actors' Elimination, Lubrication Excellence and Condition-Based Monitoring.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Leadership:
  • Proactively follow and set example in complying with EHS rules, regulations, and practices.
  • Identify hazards, report and participate in actions to mitigate
  • Accountability for the development and implementation of a reliability system that will result in more reliable equipment
  • Interfacing with area maintenance to ensure common practices are utilized and established plant wide.
  • Participate and lead projects to improve equipment or process performance, and in close cooperation with Maintenance and Engineering teams.
  • Actively attend departmental daily management and maintenance meetings as required.
  • Identify and share best practices in Equipment reliability and maintenance.
  • Training of Engineers and maintenance. Presentation and report to Management

Reliability System Tools:

  • Development of equipment/ asset hierarchies.
  • Conducting and leading criticality analysis and risk prioritization numbers of assets
  • Performance of RCM/FMEA on critical assets.
  • Development of equipment maintenance plans.
  • Assist and coach users on discipline of correct use of the CMMS and the Work Management processes
  • Engage in establishing a Lubrication Excellence system in cooperation with various Production center Engineers and maintenance staff.
  • Engage in identifying, procurement, and functionality of Condition based Monitoring and Predictive technologies

Other Responsibilities:
  • Participate and Lead RCA's and troubleshooting of failures.
  • Define, improve, and run queries and reports to support a continuous improvement process in equipment performance
  • Provide data, update and prepare reports for leaders as require


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Reliability Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of Manufacturing experience within Maintenance, Engineering, or Reliability functions.
  • Experience in Improvement projects as individual contributor, as well as project leader.
  • Skilled in data analytics, including collection and deriving data, summarizing, analysis and presentation of data.
  • Able to work in Team environments, as well as at individual tasks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with various personnel in a variety of settings (shop floor, peers, plant leadership, etc.)
  • Experienced in use of Excel, Power Point.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in a variety of settings (shop floor, peers, plant leadership, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CMRP certification
  • >5 years' experience in maintenance or Reliability Functions
  • Specialty expertise and in PM Optimization, CMMS development or training, CBM use and installation, Lubrication methods and practices
  • Familiarity and application of Lean manufacturing or Six sigma improvement projects.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Ability to meet physical requirements and withstand working conditions described by the Department.
