JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to plan, coordinate, and oversee application releases across multiple environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business teams to ensure smooth, timely, and high-quality releases while minimizing risks and business disruption.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the end-to-end release management lifecycle.
Develop and maintain release calendars and deployment schedules.
Coordinate release activities across multiple teams, applications, and environments.
Lead release planning, go/no-go meetings, and release readiness reviews.
Manage deployment activities for production and non-production environments.
Identify, assess, and mitigate release-related risks and dependencies.
Ensure compliance with change management and governance processes.
Track release progress and communicate status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
Coordinate rollback and recovery plans in case of deployment failures.
Work closely with QA teams to ensure successful testing and release sign-off.
Facilitate post-release reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain release documentation, audit records, and deployment reports.

Strong experience in Release Management and Change Management.
Experience managing releases in Agile and Scrum environments.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Hands-on experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and deployment processes.
Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Excellent risk management, planning, and communication skills.
Experience managing production deployments and release governance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Knowledge of ITIL framework and change management processes.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience in enterprise applications, healthcare, insurance, or financial services domains.
Automation and DevOps certification(s).
Experience with tools such as Confluence, ServiceNow, Octopus Deploy, Splunk/AppDynamics.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Knowledge of ITIL framework and change management processes.
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience in enterprise applications, healthcare, insurance, or financial services domains.
Certifications
Relevant certifications such as ITIL, SAFe, PMP, Scrum Master, Azure DevOps, or AWS are preferred.
